1 it's messy 2 changing from mechanical to electrical to hydraulic to mechanical again probably wastes more power than mechanical to electrical to mechanical again.I was reading about the manual steering racks and I think I'm going to do that in combination with the electric motor, 1 it's lighter, 2 manual racks are easier to turn than even an empty and converted hydraulic rack, to my understanding I'll only really want the electric for u-turns and parking :)
